Italy Guide
A charming and diverse country, Italy is sure to please even the most experienced traveler. Known around the world for her cuisine, culture and warmth, Italy opens her arms and gives her best to those who visit. Unless you are restricting your visit to a single city, we recommend that you experience a number of hotels in Italy. Many are smaller, family-owned hotels and their proprietors will make you feel at home. In fact, you will probably find it difficult to leave your hotel in Italy each morning, but there are more delights that await you down the road.

The Eternal City, Rome offers a head-spinning display of culture and history. View the ruins, tour the Vatican, walk the piazzas and enjoy the cuisine. There are enough museums and historic sites to keep you busy for weeks. While far smaller, Venice attracts hundred of thousands of visitors annually. Many chose to spend their entire holiday exploring her canals and bridges. Another city that can keep you enchanted for weeks is Florence, with its galleries and museums, all of which are within walking distance of one another but be prepared to queue. Don't miss the Palazzo Pitti and the Duomo (Cathedral).

We can't overlook the port city of Genoa or charming Pisa with its famous tower, or a dozen other smaller towns. But there is so much more to mention. The natural beauty of Piedmont is an ideal spot for hiking and enjoying the nature of the Italian countryside. Tuscany is best explored by car. Each of the villas that dot the region offer superb authentic cuisine and wines. The prices here are better as well, since many of the tourists never venture too far from the cities.

Don't forget Italy's beautiful islands. Hit the beach or explore the ruins of Sardinia. Enjoy the serenity and seclusion of the Aoelian Islands (you can catch a ferry in Naples). Or explore Sicily with its busy capital, pebble beaches and ancient ruins.

As you can see, Italy has far too much to do for one vacation, so don't even try. Pick a spot or two and leisurely explore them, leaving plenty of time for plazas and cafes.

Italy has so many wonderful locations choosing where to begin and which Italy hotels to stay in can be tough. We have a wide choice of hotels in Italy throughout the major cities. If you want an Italy hotel in Rome you can either click on the Rome link at the top of the page or use the search box to the right. For booking hotels and checking rates in Florence, Venice, and Naples simply click on the appropriate city link above. A couple of popular Italy hotels include the Pineta Palace Hotel in Rome and the Best Western Villa Mabapa hotel in Venice. The Pineta Palace Italy hotel is a deluxe hotel with beautiful gardens, modern, comfortable guest rooms and a quiet location. The Villa Mabapa hotel in Venice was built in 1930 and is made up to two buildings and a lovely shady garden. To find the best deals on a hotel in Italy just choose your city.
